I love to take a beautiful model out into the earthscape and blend the two together in a natural way. I begin with a concept and a location, then, using the existing light and shadows, I pose the model and create the image. My models must be hardy and in good shape; some of the places we go are not easy to access and the climate is harsh. It's always an adventure for me, and it's inspiring to see the excitement in the model as we shoot. They can feel the artistic creation in progress and it pushes them to do whatever it takes to get the shot.
