telling Personal stories of humanity

With a life full of diverse experiences, from musician to artist and more; Kelly writes in a blunt and candid style and never overlooking humanity in his stories.

  • Naked Vegas

From novice to pro, this book highlights the journey of Kelly Garni as a photographer in 1990's Las Vegas. Accompanied by a lush pictorial of his photographic work of the time, Garni tells a personal story of how he carved a professional photography career while interacting with a range of interesting Las Vegas characters.

Raw, vulnerable, and exposed as an artist, Kelly shares behind-the-scenes stories of his nude photography and his evolution as an artist in Naked Vegas.

  • Angels with Dirty Faces

A Real insight on the years of friendship leading to the formation of legendary hard rock / heavy metal band Quiet Riot and the early evolution of the greatest guitarist of all time... Randy Rhoads.

The story of My life, My Friends, told My way ... my friendship with Randy and what came along with it. The trials & tribulations, struggles & battles both personal & professional of growing up in the Hollywood Music Scene of the 70's, trying to make a dream come true...to be Rock Stars .. the laughter & tears, the trouble we got into & out of, the bands we formed together.

Before, during & after Quiet Riot The climb from bottom to top & Beyond. This book holds back little. I talk like a street kid and from what I'm told, still act like one. As much as I'd like to say, every kid with a dream should read this book, I'd almost caution against it. Because, I pretty much say whatever the f*^k I want, in my own way. But I'll tell you this, in your hands you hold my life, the way I remember it. I hope it teaches you something about life, and death.

With a page dedicated for all the Honorary 'Angels'. A 'Fan & Rock Star Quote' section...AND a Heartfelt Foreword by friend Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot

Book Reviews

  • Naked Vegas Stands on its own

I was first drawn to this book because the author is a founding member of Quiet Riot, and I had read and enjoyed his memoir, Angels with Dirty Faces. But Naked Vegas stands completely on its own as a visual travelogue of Las Vegas from the 90s on. The nude portraits are tasteful and beautifully posed but I am equally impressed by Kelly's eye for composition in his shots of rock groups, wedding parties, and even exotic animals. The prose is also very interesting with some funny, and sagely observant, stories. Great stuff

  • Angels: who new about the amazing story kelly had to tell !

Kelly's book far exceeded my expectations. I bought it to learn more about Randy Rhoads of course and got all I could have hoped for. The stories were very well written with lots of details and give you a much more in-depth picture of his life and who he really was. But, who new about the amazing story Kelly had to tell about his life? His life story is a wild and colorful journey in true rock star style. Loved reading the whole book and really got an appreciation for all that he lived through. Thanks for sharing your life with us Kelly. Well done, well done!

  • Angels: I feel like I got to know these guys

Angels With Dirty Faces by Kelly Garni was such a great book! I absolutely loved every minute of it! When Kelly set out to write this book, he hit the nail on the head. He was completely honest and told HIS story about his life with his best friends Randy Rhoads and Kevin DuBrow. If you are a Randy Rhoads, Kevin DuBrow or Kelly Garni fan, you will LOVE this book. Or just a fan of reading! I laughed, I cried and I really feel like I got to know these guys. It feels like you are going through their adventures with them. I highly reccommend this book to EVERYONE!
